History
The Irish Terrier is
an old Irish breed, descended from a number of earlier terriers. It's
fearless nature earned it a place in the trenches of WWI, where it was
used as a messenger dog by the Allies.
Positives
Irish Terriers are a
great family dog, and excellent with children. They love to play and enjoy
daily exercise.
Negatives
Irish Terriers are
fearless - too fearless at times. If they are challenged by even a much
bigger dog, they will not take a backward step - so this needs to be
watched.
